Panic At The Disco
By Karthik | August 12, 2008
Not being a music geek sucks. I love to listen to music and who doesn’t anyway; but I just can’t seem to keep up with them because I am just too lazy to download them nor keep up with radio or television much. It sucks, I know. But well, this particular band was introduced to me by someone significantly important, and I didn’t quite accept the songs then. But now, I’m so addicted to them that I need you to soothe your ears with their music.
One thing I learned, most souls out there adore them. They are addicted to them since their very first encounter. I think I just suck at appreciating music when I hear them first. Or maybe it isn’t very easy to impress me? That should be it.
Anyways, here you go. Nine in the afternoon.
According to an ad, the concept of the video for the song is a “series of bizarre yet fundamentally recognizable events with the band members”. The video contains 40 extras total and people will be featured as there are different periods, looks, wardrobe and hair changes. In an MTV interview, it is stated that in the video “there are gratuitous fake mustaches involved and a rather bizarre parade being led by the members of the band, who are dressed in what could only be described as ‘Sgt. Pepper’s-meets-ice-fishing’ attire (lots of epaulettes and thermal underwear). Each of them also wears a sash printed with the phrase ‘Pretty Odd’.” Originally, some of the scenes were supposed to be filmed in a ‘desert wasteland,’ but in the writing process, the director made a typo and spelled out ‘dessert wasteland.’ They decided to adapt that idea. - Wikipedia

The Height of Stupidity
By Karthik | August 11, 2008
The pinnacle.
This might come around as a small promotion for a blog that is completely unnecessary. Just to keep you following the order of things, this post is about The Dark Knight. Okay, I liked it. I loved it. And yes I watched it so many times and still haven’t got enough of it.
Definitely, truly, another masterpiece Christopher Nolan has crafted together. Now, it’s fucking annoying to know that some idiots are trying so hard to hate the movie. Why? Just because everyone loved it. You see, there are real life jokers who just want to be different, and the pinnacle of stupidity is achieved by such jokers.
“I believe whatever doesn’t kill you simply makes you… stranger.” – The Joker (The Dark Knight)
Now, I don’t know if you would have heard of the existence of a website that goes by the domain thedarkknightsucks.com. He thought he was cool. Guess what? You suck asshole. I mean, how can someone be so stupid trying to find the smallest faults in the movie and to prove that it sucks? I mean, if it didn’t live up to his expectation, then ok cool, but don’t act like as though you didn’t enjoy it even if it is just a little. I mean this dude, the idiotic-wannabe-joker thought the movie needs another perspective, and he went for the extreme, calling that movie sucks. Such hypocrisy, and it’s too obvious.
He went on looking for so many faults in the movie that he left his common sense in his asshole. Just go check it out if you want to know what I mean.
Geez.

Note the meticulous precision of his measurements
By Karthik | August 11, 2008
Maybe I needed the time. I always seem to need the time. I never know why… but my passion is beginning to burn and I don’t think it is safe for anyone to be so close to me anymore. How idiotic does that sound?
I was just cruising through the blogosphere because I wasn’t able to sleep at these late hours, and I got this idea of deleting every post on this blog. They are stupid. They do not reflect an idea I initially set to share. Now, I feel it’s embarrassing to keep the previous posts and to still call it mine.
Maybe I got sick of blogs being too personal and I wasn’t very much keen on doing the same thing. But that’s the difference this blog offers, doesn’t it? It’s completely impersonal, and sometimes it starts to give you a taste of bitter because the posts just seem so awful at times.
But I need to reserve a whole lot of privacy and blogging was never my cup of tea. So, what’s next? Delete old post. Create new post. Talk to you and not others. That. wasnt. cool. at. all.
So before I fuck the shit out of my mind late these hours, I suggest I’d better do some light reading and to promise you something worth reading the next time onwards. I’m just a fickle minded biatchh..
Now, that’s being personal!

Mind you - S1
By Karthik | July 22, 2008

There are no reasons for you to worry when you feel that your life is such a bore. There are no reasons for you to complain about how life has been cruel towards you.
There are no reasons for you to whine about how life has never been exciting and that you have no one around you to make your life exciting.

My 100th Blog Post and The Dark Knight
By Karthik | July 18, 2008
If I had blogged religiously, I would have achieved this target so long ago.
If I were to say that the reason why I didn’t have the chance to blog every day since the start of the blog till today is due to me being busy, it would have been a complete lie. So, let me be honest and tell you the truth. Well, we’ll save the truth for later…
My reasons to why I blog? Well..
I believe that through blogging, I’d be able to improve my writing.
Also, with the bits of the knowledge I have about making money online, I thought I could share it to the public, and as I do so, also have the opportunity to know more about it. And as I learn more, I share more.
Those two have been the core reasons.
And this is the 100th blog post which I am absolutely proud of. I hope I could not only enhance my writing skills, but as long as I am in the blogosphere, I hope to learn more about it and to share what I have learned along the way.
And yesssssssss!! I have finally watched “The Dark Knight”. And ohh yesss…It is the best movie of the summer and will be the best action flick for this year! Nothing beats it, it’s twice as good as Ironman!

The Dark Knight
Edit: I am seriously sorry. The Dark Knight picture that I got was from a different source and I did not upload into my own server and hence, I was made a fool. I truly apologize. It had been a extremely disturbing picture! Damn that guy! He probably thought I was trying to save my bandwidth by not uploading it on my own server and might have had the pleasure by changing that same picture to a very disturbing image of three guys. Sorry…
Heath Ledger is the true Joker. He’s a legend! The Dark Knight is simply the best movie Chris Nolan has crafted thus far. The Joker played by Heath is simply the most intense and frightening just like the way it should be. The Joker is supposed to be psychotic and a murderer that we should only love to hate. It was perfect, and when the show is over, you really begin to miss the Joker, Heath Ledger…
The story was good. The effects was good. Christian Bale was perfect. Joker was, THE Joker. Harvey Dent? And there’s more…
It’s been so long since I have enjoyed a movie this much. Why So Serious?…

On Relationships and Expectations
By Karthik | July 17, 2008
Expectation is the root to all heartache.
Yes, that Shakespeare quote is a repetition. I have blogged with this particular topic and I have tried to argue that expectations are indeed necessary. But I somehow got it all figured out wrongly, and stated them as my opinions inaccurately.
This time around, I’m going to contradict my previous post.
Having expectations are sometimes necessary, but not in the context of relationships. Nevertheless, it is not entirely possible for you to run away from having expectations from your loved ones, but what I have learned is that, that expectations should be kept at a very minimal level. Otherwise, you are seriously in a relationship that is not healthy. The only thing that you should seek to change is the way you and your partner interact. Expectations arise mainly because of the lack of proper communication. If there is proper communication, mutual respect and understanding could be given birth to in any relationship.
If you have just too many expectations from your partner, and you make changes to your partner so that he/she could deliver you what you want, then you are being completely dishonest in your relationship. Read the following…
A relationship, in the truest sense of the word, means relating to another. Usually when we say that we relate to someone, it is because we’ve found common ground. But part of relating is finding ways to make ideas that seem different come together. So often when we choose relationships, we try to fit another person into our predetermined ideal. When they don’t fit perfectly, we may try to make them over, creating our own vision from the raw material they’ve brought. But unless someone asks for guidance and direction, entering into a relationship with someone we want to change is dishonest. Then our relationship becomes with someone we’ve imagined, and anytime our partner steps outside of that imaginary projection, we will be disappointed. An honest relationship is one in which we accept each other as whole individuals, and find a way to share our life experiences together. Then, whenever we want, we can choose as a couple to give the relationship a makeover by renewing the ! way we interact.
By wanting to give another person a makeover, we are basically saying we don’t accept them for who they are. If we take a moment to imagine the roles reversed, we can get a sense of how it would feel if our beloved only committed to us because they thought we were, or would become, someone else entirely. In such an environment, we are not relating to each other from a real place, and we are keeping ourselves from being able to learn and grow from the different viewpoints that our partners offer.

Make Money Blogging (Part 2)
By Karthik | July 16, 2008
How to make money blogging? It isn’t all that hard, you know? Well, since you are reading this and I presume that if you continue reading this, you would actually be interested in knowing how. So, let me tell you how to make money through blogging. I am not an expert of any sort in this field, but I would confidently tell you that I know the basics (like perhaps, really basic?). Well, it’s a good start, isn’t it? Also note, this post is not just about making money, it talks in detail about THIS very blog.
Excerpt from Part 1
I love to write. I have always wanted to start blogging since I was aware of such a thing called online journals. I think it was year 2000, when I first started to have the desire to have an online journal. This is what we call today or maybe even then, a blog. But back then, I created a website on my own and did everything from scratch in the oldest language that it seems now, HTML. Haha..
Every time I started, I somehow procrastinated and never bothered to consistently update it. I know this is an old habit that seems to belong to many out there. I first created an online journal for my friends to read and comment, but then, I started realizing it wasn’t the easiest thing to be done.
In all these years, I have created blogs, and left them to rot. I created a blog, which I would update it frequently for a month or two, and then I totally get carried away and never return to my blog(s). When I finally get the inspiration again, I start a new blog on a new address or host. And that’s how the cycle was for years.

Hancock
By Karthik | July 16, 2008
This has to be a quick one.
My expectations for Hancock were pretty high, but that wasn’t the only reason why I was disappointed with it. When I watch a movie, and if it is a super hero movie, which will have a great deal of CGI’s, I would at least expect a decent CGI in the 21st century for a Hollywood movie with Will Smith starrer.
That was not all. And you might have also heard a lot about how the movie felt so rushed that you did not have the opportunity to appreciate some of the moments in the movie. The movie had a weak story, and after a point, it felt more like “My Super Ex Girlfriend”. Well, it was just what I felt, but I would say I enjoyed the movie afterall. It deserves some credit, for you see Will Smith throughout the show and appreciate his acting.
This movie is an entertainer. But I enjoyed Get Smart so much more…!

That Which We Require Most In Life
By Karthik | July 15, 2008
One thing that is certain in life is change. Change is constant, no matter how we might despise it. When we change, we tend to accept it as part and parcels of life. But when that same change occurs to someone close to us, we could barely accept it. Most of the time, we refuse to accept their changes, and then starts the unique war of humankinds.
From a very personal point of view, I have been a complete hypocrite when it comes to accepting changes of my loved ones. I have always felt the need to get hurt when someone changes for the worst. But then, taking a minute to think about why that change might have occurred, I somehow become harsh towards myself and blame myself for all the wrong doings of that someone.
How would you really know? If you have been given the chance to analyze your actions and know the thoughts that were running in their minds, I am sure you would have been one heck of a gifted human being. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to read one’s mind or thoughts, and that becomes a complete disadvantage.
There’s something irony and at the same time contradicting about this whole thing.
What is it that we require most in life?
Love…
What is it that is absolutely constant in life?
Change…
