Quentin Tarantino

I have been a crazy movie fan, but unfortunately, that is only of the recent. I have always loved the movies, but most of my life I reserved that bit of my hobbies to reading books rather than watching the movies. (Love movies, but I preferred the books back then)

Coming from a background with parents in the production line, I have always been attracted in the finer details of the movies. Story alone doesn’t get to me, and the actors and actress aren’t enough for me to like a movie. I mean, since when it did for anyone anyway? But a detail such as the screenplay, background music, cinematography, the not-so-obvious art, character, color tops the list when I watch movies.
And yes, since I wasn’t fond of movies while I was younger, I missed most movies that if you watch them now even after all the development, it somewhat still gives you an excitement to go ahead and rate them as one of your best movies that you have watched in your lifetime. (Read: The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption, Casino and etc.)

Unfortunately, as sad as this may sound, only of recent I got the chance to watch Pulp Fiction. Followed by Reservoir Dogs. This two movies alone would set the standard and make you just go crazy of this genre of movies. And the best of it, you’ll start loving Quentin Tarantino. You can’t select these movies and put them into the top of your list, but Tarantino is a director and a writer who creates badass movies.

If you call it uninteresting, it’s because you don’t have enough appreciation for the use of dialogs in a movie. Pulp Fiction is a must watch, but nevertheless, somehow I feel Reservoir Dogs is much cooler. I had the pleasure of watching not only that two, but also Jackie Brown which was a smart movie in a very basic atmosphere and you got to love Samuel L. Jackson no matter what.
Quentin Tarantino is definitely in my list of favorite directors!
