The vote goodies.

By Karthik | February 9, 2008

Aha. So Malaysians, you know now what is coming at us now. The election goodies, to make you feel that the government cares for you. Loves you. Adores you. *cough*bullshit*cough*

No, I’m not an anti-government. But I am not a pro-government either. Because you can’t just choose a government and call it your favorite. If only politics were that easy. Remember I quoted from the movie, Man of the Year? If you don’t or if you haven’t read that post, then here it is:

“Politicians are a lot like diapers. They should be changed frequently, and for the same reasons.”

Following up the news on News Strait Times, The Star, and online news portal, Malaysiakini can really show you the obvious. Suddenly, you see an improvement. But whenever there is an improvement for the Indians, the credit goes directly to the Hindraf’s 5 people.

Is changing the government that difficult for you? Isn’t it better to have it changed, and put the government at our foot? Isn’t the government supposed to be afraid of the people, and do the best for the people?

They only advice I have for you is, vote wisely, and only you can make the difference. If you worship the current government that much, than you should not be one of the people, but rather be at the desk of politicians who run the government. If you want to be served fairly and equally, then you should not continue worshipping a government. Well, just take it this way, people take things for granted. Not necessarily they have to be bad. But, generally, people do not know the value until it’s no longer there. Now, replace people with government and you should get the perfect picture.

Malaysia is about unity, and the people are about Unity. It’s the people on the top that makes everything look so wrong. I have friends of all races, and in absolute honesty, there is a mutual understanding and respect among us. Even the Chinese New Year spirit has totally got me excited and thrown me into celebrating along with my friends, and nothing could be a better definition to unity than that. Don’t let the people at the top corrupt you and turn you into a massive racist being. Again, votes wisely, don’t fall for the election goodies. Enjoy it, nonetheless. LoL..

When you cast your vote at election
Make sure it’s your own best decision
Done freely according to your own conscience
Without being bought or swayed by any undue influence

abi: excellent! vote for the right people, and once you are eligible to vote, the best thing to do for yourself is to get registered to vote and just freaking vote the right people! perhaps what people are more confused about is knowing who’s the right people due to lack of political awareness.
