Wordpress and a Domain: The best combination!

I started with Blogger.com, just like many bloggers out there. But, I realized, Blogger.com isn’t the best thing in this world! It was Wordpress! Wordpress is a blog publishing system, just like Blogger.com. The difference is, Blogger.com is too basic, and Wordpress comes with tones and tones of plugins and themes that suit your purpose and personality.
In my opinion, if you are going to create a blog and make it look professional, you definitely need Wordpress! “If you don’t need the flexibility of a full web host, you may consider getting a free blog on WordPress.com.” The free blog on wordpress.com is sometimes, adequate to get you started! But the best be the option where you get your own host, own domain, and own blog!
Having your own domain name and hosting your Wordpress on your own host, would eventually make you look mor professional and hence, people who visits your site take you for real. That’s very important, because 90% of the time, blog is to be read. If you do not own a readership, then the defeats the whole purpose of blogging, doesn’t it? In summary, a domain name and that professionalism makes people take you seriously.
So, you need a domain name and a host?

i have used wordpress.com and publish my own wordpress(which is my blog now). wordpress.com is good and is very user friendly, but you cant really edit anything, without paying money! that means you are not able to enjoy the tons of plugins out there which really enhance a blog.
but when you download from wordress.org and host your own blog, it really is a cool blogging tool, you can do basically anything, if u have the command in CSS,php and other languages.(geek languages of course)
nbnl: Well, true. Wordpress has a great amount of potential, but unfortunately, a bit of cash is required. But, that aside, hosting your own blog using Wordpress as the platform, could be cost you zero, and you still could enjoy the advantages it offers. It’s relaxed, and more professional. You have greater control over your blog and content, and if you ask me, those are very significant in a blog! =)
