Back to Basics, Blogging: Part 2

And we’re finally in 2008. Now, I launched this site on the 25th of December, and it has been really exciting to have this blog run for a while now. Why? Because of you people! The support you guys have showered was really motivating as well as inspiring. Thank you very much my dearest readers, and as I have promised, I am going to start from absolute basics. Everyone can make money through blogging, and since this blog is supposed to be focusing on the practicality of it, I am going to show how to create a blog and start posting your first ever post, for those who do not know how. For those who know how, maybe you could share this with others? Saves your breath!
First and foremost, there are more than one blog platforms to begin with. But let me advice you that, if you are going to begin with blogging, for the very first time, then it is time you consider Blogger.com. This guide teaches you how to create a blog in Blogger.com, but there are others like Wordpress (the one I use for this website, and if you plan to host the blog on your own webhost and domain, I suggest you head-over to Wordpress.com).
Creating a blog with Blogger.com
Blogger.com, is by far, the easiest in my opinion. All you got to do, is:
1.Visit http://www.blogger.com
Once you are there, look for the word “Create your blog now”.
2. Follow on-screen instructions
(I would have given you a clear picture-by-picture steps, but It’s really a 3-step formula, where first you create an account, second you name your blog and lastly, you choose your template. Follow the on-screen instructions, and it will lead STRAIGHT to creating your very first post.
Of course, if you face any difficulties in the process, you could always contact me, and I would help you with it! (i am pretty sure you would be able to ‘nail’ it! Give it a shot..trust in what I have to say =) and you would have your first ever blog!)
Having your blog, was just the first step. The next step, is making your blog known to others. Well, for one, you could start of by linking my blog in yours, and comment here that you have done so, including your url, and I would add your links up in my LINKS page. It’s that easy!
