Back to basics: Blogging, Part 1.
By Karthik | December 27, 2007
Just recently, my cousin stumbled upon this website. She told me that, she wishes she would be able to create her own blog and make money as well. The thing about her is that, she loves to talk, and I thought to myself, why not write? See, the whole purpose of this blog, is to share my knowledge of how to make money from blogging with you. If you have a blog, and you are interested in making money through it, I am here to show you how, in the most practical sense. As I learn more, I share them with you, in the most truthful and straight forward way! (Again, not to forgot, PRACTICAL!)
So, whatever that you are looking at right now, this whole blog, is possible to be created by you! That’s what I want! If I can do it, I am sure anyone in this universe could do it!
New Year is around the corner, and why not make a blog part of your new year’s resolution? Here it is! But before we create a blog, shall we look deeper at what a blog truly is?
Why do you blog? You can ask this question to anyone who blogs and you would be surprised to see how different and creative the answers could be. But, if you haven’t got to the core, let’s just look at what blogging can do for you.
Firstly, by blogging, you get to improve your writing skills. Yes, it’s true. Some of us are pretty bad when it comes to putting our thoughts into words. I do not know about you, but I truly was a victim of this. I just didn’t know how I could put my thoughts into perfect words. Then, couple of years back, a friend of mine told me I should start blogging. It could enhance the way I write, and this time around, I must make sure that you understand that most people in the “blogosphere” are really nice, and if you make mistakes, they aren’t going to turn your blog down. Most important thing in blogging is your thoughts. What have you got to share? That alone drives your readers to your blog, and that means, you have a great amount of space to actually make mistakes and learn from them.
Secondly, blogging gets you to sharpen your skills of organizing thoughts. Some call it writers block. It’s when things go a little messed up, and you just simply do not know how you are going to get back to the story you initially intended to write. Don’t worry, blogging makes this possible to be adapted and once again, given a chance to improve.
Thirdly, for those interested in making money, you would be able to learn and improve on the marketing sector. After all, some claim that blogs today have become an important source of marketing space, that’s why you see many advertising network being given birth to in this blogosphere.
Blogosphere is simply, the people who blog and their blogs.
The above reasons, are NOT the only reasons for blogging, but it is definitely an added advantage when you blog. So now, why wouldn’t you want to blog? It doesn’t take up your entire day, you get to talk about whatever you want, and at the end of the day, you get to make money out of it. It’s all good. Trust me, remain positive, and I can assure you that I could get you started.
I would give you the time to think about it. In part 2, I would go step-by-step on how to create a blog! =) Stay tuned…
